Risk factors for hemorrhagic stroke include:

Modifiable risk factors

- high BP

- smoking

- excessive use of alcohol

- cocaine and methamphetamine use

- previous ischemic stroke

—Medications that increase the risk of ICH

- Blood thinners

     . —Antiplatelets

—     . Anticoagulants

- Whether statins and SSRIs increase the risk of hemorrhagic stroke is NOT well-established. These medications should be used in accordance with established guidelines for FDA-approved indications
